April 2014 Technique of the Month Video: Moving to Mount from Side Control

We are excited to share a simple and extremely effective way to transition to the mount from the side control. When you can’t find a way across the stomach, you can redirect your opponent’s hips and legs away from you, and weave your legs in for a clear path to the mount position!

Good training to you!

January 2nd, 2013 is our 11th Anniversary! As a part of our celebration, we have released a 2nd technique of the month video, filmed at one of our group classes. Starting with a nice closed guard sweep (when your opponent stands up to open and pass your guard), this video shows four different options from the sweep:
1) Achieve the Mount
2) Attack and Armlock
3) Attack a Triangle Choke
4) Attack an Omoplata (Shoulder Lock)
This video has a lot of great details, we hope you enjoy it!
