January 2nd, 2013 is our 11th Anniversary! As a part of our celebration, we have released a 2nd technique of the month video, filmed at one of our group classes. Starting with a nice closed guard sweep (when your opponent stands up to open and pass your guard), this video shows four different options from the sweep:
1) Achieve the Mount
2) Attack and Armlock
3) Attack a Triangle Choke
4) Attack an Omoplata (Shoulder Lock)
This video has a lot of great details, we hope you enjoy it!
We are excited to share a side control escape, with an armbar opportunity! Working to recover your guard when stuck under your opponent in the side control position is easily one of the most difficult movements to learn in Jiu-Jitsu. This video will show you how to not only escape, but potentially get a quick armlock from your efforts! These positions are must-haves for beginners and advanced Jiu-Jitsu players alike!
We are excited to share a Spinning Armlock and an Omoplata from the Knee on Belly Position! This attack starts with a basic knee on belly transition from side control, and works into an outside (spinning) armlock, followed by an omoplata (shoulder lock) if they try to escape. This series is a must-have for beginners and advanced Jiu-Jitsu players alike!
