Faixa Preta (Black Belt)10/13/07 On Saturday, October 13th, 2007, Richmond Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy's Head Instructor Eric Burdo was promoted to Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu by Master Julio Fernandez. Also present was Rodrigo Medeiros, as well as a number of other Black Belts and Brown Belts. The promotion took place at the Vermont Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Self-Defense Academy (www.bjjusa.com).Eric is honored to be promoted by Mr. Fernandez, and is proud to be his representative in the state of Virginia.
Eric would like to thank Mr. Fernandez, Rodrigo Medeiros, Grandmaster Carlson Gracie, Sr. (RIP), everyone he has trained with and learned from in Vermont, as well as his friends, training partners and students at the Richmond Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Self-Defense Academy.
